A Young Man with Great Compassion
 

In the summer of 1978, destiny had finally caught up with Li Ning. One day, he was on his way back from picking up his rations. While driven his pony cart, he saw a tall old man laying on the side of the road asking people for help. The old man is very thin and looked very weak. With a compassionate and merciful heart, Li Ning stopped by the side of the old man and gave all the rations he had just received, along with five yuan which is all his saving to the old man……Unknown to Li Ning, the old man is actually the Dharmaraja (dharma king) of Sino Esoteric Buddhism Master Jinyin who is also a hermit. The Dharmaraja purposely transformed himself into the image of a beggar to test Li Ning to see if he is worthy to be ferried over and to practice esoteric Buddhism in the deep mountains. When the old man revealed his true identity to Li Ning and told Li Ning that he is the sage who is going to take him to the deep mountains to practice esoteric Buddhism, Li Ning immediately kneeled in front of Master Jinyin to ask to be his disciple and also made the vow of Bodhi……
